Senior's Community Luncheons

Seniors Luncheon
On the second Thursday
of the month
from Noon - 1:30 p.m.
First Baptist Church of Avoca
Fellowship Hall
  • Bring a dish to pass
  • Invite your fellow seniors from the community to attend.
  • A short program will be presented:
    • October 08 Brenda Dean, an occupational therapist from Ira Davenport Hospital will be with us with Kimi Archer. She will speak on Energy Conservation techniques. Kimi Archer will take pictures of all of us we may use for Christmas time. She will put them on CD?s for $1 each. They will be ready by the November Senior Luncheon. Bring a dish to pass, your own table service if possible and a good appetite.
    • November 12 Our speaker for the day is Nancy Williamson, CEO at SERVU Federal Credit Union. She will be speaking on Identity Theft and Fraud. She is highly recommended. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service if possible. We will be taking up a love offering for the church to help pay for the plastic plates, cups, and silverware we use.
    • December 10 To be announced.
