Everyone has sinned.
All of us are born sinful and commit acts of
sin every day.
"For all have sinned, and come short
of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23)
Because of our sin, we deserve death in
Hell.
God is holy and cannot allow sin in to Heaven.
The punishment for our sin is death
(separation from God) in Hell forever.
"For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
We cannot save ourselves.
Christ is the only One Who can save us from
our sin. Nothing we do can ever save us.
"For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves; it
is the gift of God; not of works, lest any
man should boast." (Eph. 2:8)
Christ died to take the punishment for
our sin.
Christ's death on the cross paid the penalty
for our sin. He took our punishment for us.
"But God commendeth His love toward
us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us"
(Romans 5:8).

Salvation is a free gift that we receive
by trusting Christ as our personal Savior.
We must personally trust Christ as our Savior
and accept His death
on the cross as the payment for our sin in
order to be saved.
"For God so loved the world, that
He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life"
(Jn. 3:16).
Pray to receive Christ.
"Dear God,
I acknowledge that I have sinned against you and
that the greatest need of my life is to be
forgiven. Thank you for providing me with a
Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He
is God the Son incarnate, that He lived a
perfect life and died on the cross to pay the
penalty of my sin, and that He rose from the
dead. Lord Jesus, I place my complete trust
in You and You alone. Come into my life and
forgive me of my sin. Grant me eternal life
and begin making me the kind of person you
want me to be. Amen"
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For with the
heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)
